Ellen Murray Joins TENI
We are very pleased to announce the appointment of Ellen Murray to the role Policy & Research Officer with TENI. Ellen brings a wealth of knowledge to her new role and will no doubt make a great addition to our dynamic team.
Ellen is an experienced trans activist from Belfast in Northern Ireland. She has worked at regional, national, European Commission and UN Human Rights Council level on trans rights issues, specifically on legal gender recognition and depathologisation of trans healthcare. Her experience in policy and research development has focused on education and healthcare for trans people, as well as on community services and sustainability. She founded both the trans youth service GenderJam NI, and the Belfast Trans Resource Centre through SAIL NI. Her most recent role was as Executive Director of TransgenderNI.
