This Sunday: Second Sunday after Epiphany
|
|
|
|
This Sunday's Scriptures
Isaiah 62: 1-5 | Psalm 36:5-10, | 1 Corinthians 12:1-11 | John 2:1-11
The Sundays after Epiphany continue to celebrate the revelation of the glory of God to us as it was made known to the magi and to those on Jordan’s banks at the baptism of Jesus—today using wedding imagery. Our God rejoices over God’s people “as the bridegroom rejoices over the bride.” By the power of the Spirit there are gifts galore for everyone. In Christ Jesus the best wine is saved for last. Taste and see.
Music this Sunday
Christ, Whose Glory Fills the Skies, ELW 553 | Lord of Light, ELW 688 | What Fest of Love, ELW 487 |For the Beauty of the Earth, ELW 879

University Lutheran Church Campus Ministry and Congreation is partnering with the Grace Lutheran Church for the annual
SOUPER BOWL OF CARING!!!
More than 29 years ago, the campaign began with a simple prayer from a single youth group:
"Lord, even as we enjoy the Super Bowl Football game, help us be mindful of those without a bowl of soup to eat."
|
Since that day, more than $143 million has been raised for
local charities across the country through Souper Bowl of Caring. It has become a powerful movement
that is transforming the time around the Big Game into the nation’s largest celebration of giving and
serving.
Two Ways to Give
1.Donate your non-perishable goods to our SOUP POT on Sunday mornings.
2. Make a financial gift to Grace Lutheran Food Pantry from now until Super Bowl Sunday, February 3, 2019.
Great Season, Birds!

Members, alumni, and friends of the UniLu community are generous givers of their time, talents, service, and treasures.
