January 2019 Digest

Reaching the Unreached with Health Services & Information
We are impacting lives globally and locally because #CSICares.
Dear CSI Friends, Partners, and Donors:

Happy New Year! 2018 was a big step for us into 2019 and our committed staff and volunteers are moving up and across to reach as many communities as possible with quality health services, resources, and information; impacting and transforming lives.

As the founding leaders of CSI, we are filled with immense pride and humility to see after six years how CSI has since grown in underserved communities, expanded geographically, and impacted thousands of lives. It is evident CSI's mission and vision is on track and the work would not be possible without an amazing network of staff, volunteers, partners, donors, and generous supporters.
During Quarter I, CSI teams will capitalize on critical gains made in previous years and through existing public and private collaborations strengthen grassroots efforts to reduce disease burden, plus preventable maternal-newborn-child-adolescent deaths and disabilities. Some of CSI's most notable successful grassroots interventions include: cervical cancer prevention, screening, onsite treatment, and referral; maternal health education and provision of basic medical supplies; and investing in girls' education and women's economic empowerment.

In Quarter I, we will finalize our work on the organization's strategic leadership transitions because when CSI was founded, our shared vision, was an organization that would create opportunities for others to lead and carry the legacy of social good, influence, and impact forward. In the coming weeks, we will announce exciting leadership transitions and status on recruitment process for the next CEO to take CSI to greater heights. Please share this great opportunity with your network: CSI CEO vacancy.

CSI is definitely in constant motion, strengthening partnerships, impacting lives, and making a difference.

Warm Regards,
CSI Founders
Stella M. Mpanda and Tausi Suedi

CSI Safina: Education and Health Services for Orphans and Vulnerable Children
Where: Sseguku, Wakiso, Uganda
Want to send a child to school? Want to increase girls' enrollment? Make a donation here.
CSI Safina "Noah's Ark" program supports orphans and vulnerable children (OVC). Since April 2016, more than 100 children have benefited from this interactive and empowering monthly program that feeds, educates, and cares for vulnerable children. Community leaders and members have shared positive feedback and need to ensure the children are supported to stay on track academically and off the streets; critical step to avert several known dangers and risks. Sending vulnerable children back to school is a major financial challenge for guardians and through generous donations, CSI bridges the gaps for orphans and vulnerable children. The impact of CSI Safina program is best told by girls and boys with big dreams and hopes for a bright future. #NoChildLeftBehind

#CSICares.....They Know It!
Investing in the next generation especially girls is critical to unlock intergenerational poverty and improve quality of life in underserved communities. CSI distributes required school supplies ensuring no child is left behind.
"Access to quality basic healthcare services is a universal human right; it is a moral obligation to reach the unreached with health services, resources, and information". ~ Mpanda & Suedi, April 2013.
