Shining the Light of Innovation on Rare Disease

Shining the Light of Innovation on Rare Diseases

By their very definition, rare diseases are isolating and confusing. The National Organization for Rare Disorders reports that there are ~7,000 rare diseases, yet only 5% have treatments. Starting today, Chiesi Farmaceutici and StartUp Health are launching a global call for innovation aimed at changing that equation. We are inviting entrepreneurs and innovators passionate about ridding the world of rare diseases to apply to collaborate with Chiesi and join hundreds of like-minded entrepreneurs already in the StartUp Health ecosystem working to achieve health moonshots.

For Chiesi, this rare disease call for innovation isn’t just a push to increase disease awareness, advance diagnostic and monitoring capabilities, and improve data exchange, although each of those objectives are pillars of this movement. It is a personal moonshot to improve the lives of the most vulnerable patients – children. Join us.
