It’s already time to start the planting for the 2019 season at the farm! We are happy to announce that sign-ups for the 2019 Harvest Share CSA Program will be Sunday, Feb. 3rd, in the greenhouse during hospitality hour. We will be doing another lottery this year to pick our 15 families. Shares are $300 for 20 weeks of produce (a $15 value of produce a week) and include 4-6 seasonal items (vegetables, flowers and herbs). It is also possible to split a share with a friend and sign up as a pair.  If you’re unable to be there on Feb. 3rd, email Lena Van Wyk at lena@ngpfarm.org to get your name in the drawing (deadline for sign-ups is February 8th). Winners of the drawing will be announced Sat, Feb 9th and payment is due Sun, Feb 17. Don’t hesitate to reach out to Lena with questions about the program, via email or phone (336-317-8870).

We will be continuing our farm stand this year and hope to be open more weekends and have more regularity with produce (we learned a LOT this year!), for those who want to buy produce à la carte each week. We have already planted our early spring greens in the hoop house, and hope to open up shop in late March/early April. Next year, we will be growing greens in the hoop house year round and hope to have the stand open during the winter in 2020!

Our next workday is Saturday, February 2nd, from 9am-12pm. It's a big one, as we need to rebuild all our garden beds (lots of strong diggers needed!) Please bring your own shovel (labeled with your name) and gloves, if you have them.
