Come and have a chat

We are offering tea and biscuits and a chat at our drop in session on Monday February 4th at East Finchley Library, 9-11am. We would like to hear your ideas and to share information about our projects with you - and let you know how you can input.

We would like to build our team to make our ambitious plans reality, so if you have considered getting involved, please let us know.

Market Place Playground

We had a freezing but positive meeting with Barnet Council at the Market Place playground this month. We are keen to work with them to renovate the playground and we have a new volunteer on board to support this work - many thanks to local resident Teje for joining us.

She will be looking to organise get togethers for those interested in inputting into this project. We have already had some good feedback at our consultation sessions, as well as on Instagram.

VOLUNTEER VACANCIES

We have a big programme of work and could really benefit from the help of more volunteers. Here are some of the roles we would like to fill:

BIG LUNCH team members

We would like to plan a Big Lunch in the area. The Big Lunch is simply a local get together including food where people have fun and get to know each other better. It's held on 1/2 June. Could you help coordinate this party? There are lots of materials to help you make it happen, and our workers can support you too. Let us know if you are interested. More info here

Researcher of local businesses and organizations

We would like to update our information about our wonderful local businesses and the services offered by local organisations. Can you spare some time to research this so we can update our website?

Thank you for all your donations to the Grange Estate Fire Fund. Our community raised over £8000 for families affected by the fire - your support is greatly appreciated. Payments have now been made to support 25 adults and 6 children.
