CHURCH NEWS
 
 
Cornerstone Magazine: The next magazine will be available from today, Sunday 27th January.
 
Cornerstone Café is open Monday to Friday 10am-4pm, Saturday and Sunday 10.30am-5pm.   
 
Cornerstone Bookshop is open Mon-Sat, 10.00am-5.30pm.
 
Scottish Country Dancing: weekly on Sundays at 7.15pm after Evensong.
 
Bicentenary Talk with Leslie Hodgson on Monday 18th February has been postponed. More information in due course.
 
Sceptics… meet today after the 10.30am service. This is an opportunity to discuss this morning’s sermon.

UPCOMING EVENTS
 
Growth Group: will next be meeting on Friday 8 February at 7pm.
 
Church walks: Saturday walk on 16th February Longniddry to Haddington. Thursday walk on 7th February (Loch Leven). Please see the porch for further details.
 
Advanced warning: During Lent, we are planning to hold a discussion group on Wednesday mornings after the 11.00am service (11.45- 12.45). As usual it will be based around a book. This year we are studying ‘The Merciful Humility of God’, by Jane Williams. If you are interested in joining us, please contact Eileen Thompson (eileencthompson@gmail.com), who will make a bulk order for the book.
 
Bicentenary Pulpit: today, 27 January, the Revd Anne Tomlinson, Scottish Episcopal Institute.
 
Bicentenary Ceilidh: on Friday 1st February from 7.30pm to 10.30pm, in the Cornerstone Centre, with a live ceilidh band. All ages welcome.
 
Bridge Evening: to be held on Thursday 28th March at 6.30pm in the Cornerstone Centre and is in aid of Church funds. £25 per head. Application forms from members of the organising committee (Colin McEachran, Mo Grant, Grace Durham; and Vicki Reid Thomas).
 
David Todd, Arts Project Leader for Greenside Parish Church in partnership with ECCCT, is showing the film “Life is Beautiful” at St Andrew’s & St George’s West Church at 7pm on Wednesday 27 March.  All are welcome.
