School Policy: Medications at School
It is recognized that medications may be essential for some students. When possible, medications should be administered at home.
Policy: If medication must be given at school, it must be sent to school via a parent or guardian with the proper documentation.
It is not safe for children to deliver medicine to the school. This policy prevents safety concerns of lost or stolen medicines, students sharing medicines with friends, and students taking medicine unsupervised.

"Read" It Forward Book Drive
In the spirit of our school's "Pay It Forward" initiative, Ava A. (7th grade) and our Lutz Prep Library will be hosting a book drive. Please bring new or gently used books to the Media Center to donate to the Sullivan Partnership/Metropolitan Ministries. The books may be for Toddlers through Middle School levels (no adult level books, please). We will begin the book drive on Wednesday, January 16th and end on Friday, March 8th. We will collect, sort and deliver the books before Spring Break so all the area children will have some great reading during their time away from school.
Update on Donations Drive: 816 new leveled early readers & 282 gently used books that have been donated in the last two weeks. The grand total is 1,098 books, with several weeks to still collect.
Please take this time to do a little book "Spring Cleaning" and "Read" It Forward! Presented by: Ava A. and Mrs. O'Sullivan, Library Coordinator

University of Notre Dame is partnering with high-achieving middle school students…FOR FREE!!!
The Office of Outreach and Engagement Recruitment (OER) aims to identify high-achieving students who have the potential to attend highly selective colleges and universities across the country. Through a focus on character and leadership development, we strive to empower students to hone their natural gifts, ignite their imaginations, and prepare to impact the world for the greater good. We offer an online enrichment program, NDignite Connection, to help high-achieving students navigate middle and high school, learn about various pre-college programs, and ultimately prepare for the admissions process at highly selective colleges and universities through using self-awareness to explore their gifts and talents.
Students may apply to the program at the end of their 6th or 7th grade year. Once participants enter into 9th and 10th grades, they matriculate into the second phase of our program where they connect with current Notre Dame students and engage in discussions with peers weekly about meaningful topics. There is no cost to students or their families to participate in the program. By the end of a student's participation in the NDignite Connection program, they will learn about:
life at a highly-selective university
the importance of finding the right college fit
the pre-college and college application processes
how to use their greatest gifts to invest in the lives of others and in their professional careers
