As most of you probably know, last year we hired our first developer, Éléonore Mayola. In addition to doing magical things with code, Éléonore is very engaged in the coding community. Last year she held a talk at PyCon Sweden in which she summarised her experiences as a developer working with journalists.
Inspiration
Scrollytelling is a terrible word for a nice way of telling stories online, especially when you are trying to be mobile-first. Here are some interesting and different examples.
Chasing climate change in Norway
In seven chapters NRK shows us a Norway that is getting warmer and wetter.
Saving the Ganges
Reuters takes us down the river Ganges to show us the challenges awaiting the Indian government's attempts to clean it.
Melting glaciers
The New York Times shows us how quickly glaciers are melting.
The internet, but not as you know it
The Guardian transfers the internet from China, Cuba, India and Russia to show us how different our lives online can be.
Miscellaneous
Awesome OSINT
We might have linked this before, but if you want to keep track of the latest tools and resources in open-source intelligence, bookmark this list now, if you haven't already. The list was created a few years ago and is still being kept up-to-date.
