GVPL Teen Writing Contest
For grades 7-12. This contest runs from January 2 at 10:00 am to February 27 at 4:00 pm. Enter your original poem or short story or something in our “random” category. Create something new or polish something written for a school assignment. A panel of judges will determine a first prize and runner up in each category. Winners will be announced at a reception on April 17, 2019. Winners will win a gift certificate to a local book store, up to $100 for first prize.
The contest is open to GVPL cardholders, one entry per category. Official rules.

Vancouver Island Parent Conference
This year VCPAC is offering a reimbursement code to each PAC and we are keeping a waitlist for extra codes as well. If your PAC did not receive your code or you would like to add a parent to our waitlist, please contact info@vcpac.ca with your school name.
Reminder: codes must be registered by January 25, after which time they will be redistributed.

VCPAC has a mailing list service, free of charge, available to all PACs. If your PAC would like to have a subscription-based email list, which parents can automatically opt in and out of, contact info@vcpac.ca

Article ideas and submissions can be sent via e-mail to info@vcpac.ca . Submissions should be sent to us no later than Friday, 9 PM prior to the day of distribution. Communications retains the right to edit all submissions for clarity.
