Sadly, Friday was Mrs Willis's last day in the school office. She has worked in and around the school for the last 16 years. She worked with the Toddlers, was a MTA and then a TA as well as being a cleaner! She will be greatly missed, as her leaving assembly showed she is very highly thought of in school. Mrs Willis is chasing her dream job, and becoming a midwifery assistant. We all wish her the very best for her new venture.

We advertised the above position internally across the MAT and I am very pleased to say that Mrs Jenkins will now be combining her role as Early Years administrator with Front of House administrative support for Mrs Read. This will require a few changes and I'd like to ask any parents who wish to speak to Mrs Jenkins regarding Early Years to come to the main office from Monday.

I collected the children (and Mr Guyler) from the train station on Friday evening and I am pleased to say that they had a fabulous time. Some of the pictures can be viewed on Twitter. It was great to hear the children recounting stories from their experiences over the past week.

Mrs Murdoch and I went to the Pinkery Centre on Friday morning. We have planned through the curriculum work the children will be completing when they are working at the Pinkery. We will be holding a meeting, as described below, for all Y3 and Y5 parents after school next Thursday. Can I please encourage you, if you are in doubt about the trip, to come and listen to the plan and to ask any questions.

Have a great weekend and see you on Monday.

Your child should have received a letter this week, Form SOE3a asking for your consent for your child to do activities off-site both on foot and for short journeys using the school minibus/swimming coach.  Please fill this in leaving the outline of planned visits box empty and return to the administration office as soon as possible.  Reception class and new starters have not received this form as this was part of your admission packs.

Thank you.
We have had a busy week at Tiddlers. We continue to be interested in maps so we walked to the tourist information shop to search for local maps and they very kindly let the children explore the museum. If you have any photos of shops, your house or other things of interest in the village please bring them in to add to our display. We've also visited the library to search for map books this week and the pet shop to buy some bird seed to make our bird feeders. The children are enjoying getting out and about and we have had lots of positive comments about their wonderful behaviour.

Don't forget we are now running a toddler group on Thursday mornings from 9:15-11:00. Its proving to be very popular which is fantastic!

As always, any questions or comments please speak to a member of Tiddlers staff and we will be happy to help. Have a lovely weekend from the Tiddlers team.

We are now able to accept 30 hour codes for children entitled from September 2018.  To see if your child is eligible please check the following website;
www.childcarechoices.gov.uk
Children who are already claiming do not need a new code but you will need to renew online when prompted by HMRC.
We are also registering children who are eligible for 2gether funding.  If you have not received a golden ticket and think you may be eligible please check

www.devon.gov.uk/2yearoldfunding
