New & Important Reminders

The St. Andrew’s Book Club is meeting next on February 27 in the church lounge at 1:30 pm. We are reading Mistress of Nothing by Kate Pullinger. This story focuses on a maid who accompanies her mistress to Egypt in the late 1800’s. Lady Duff Gordon is a real person and the novel is based on events in her diary. New members are always welcome. Outreach
This upcoming Sunday, January 27 is "Spare Change Sunday." We are collecting for 1JustCity-Oak Table, so they can purchase new underwear for people who are in need. If you have some spare change, drop it in the plate at the back of the sanctuary.
Our next outreach project is for February and March. We will be collecting new and/or slightly used backpacks. Bring them into St. Andrew's and we will ensure 1JustCIty-Oak Table receives them.

Save the Date!
A Truth & Reconciliation Interfaith Dialogue will be happening Mondays @ 7-9 pm from March 11 - April 1. Each date will be hosted at a different faith community ( see poster for more info). Do you need a ride or can offer to drive? Watch for a sign-up sheet in the Narthex mid-February.

St. Andrew’s will be hosting another Quiz Night on Saturday, February 16 @ 7pm. Get your team of 4-6 people organized early! Single entries are welcome and encouraged—we will add you to another team or create a new team. Tickets are $20 per person including snacks and beverages, with wine and beer available to purchase for $5. Tickets will be available to purchase from the church office during office hours or on Sunday mornings in the Narthex. Enjoy a night out with friends on a cold winter evening.

Choir Show
Save the Date! The St. Andrew’s Annual Choir Show “The Fabulous Fifties” will be on March 8 & 9, 2018. There will be a 7:30pm performance both nights, as well a 1:30pm matinee on March 9, 2018. Tickets are $20 with reserved cabaret seating; snacks and punch provided. Wine and beer will also be available for purchase by the glass. Tickets will be available to purchase starting Monday, January 28, 2019 either from the church office or on Eventbrite (link active on Jan 28). If you would like to pick up your tickets on Sunday mornings in the Narthex, please email or call the church office to order your tickets ahead of time. |

Centering Prayer

Harrow United Church
Monday morning Yoga with Jane Carroll at Harrow United Church, 955 Mulvey Avenue. The winter session will run from January 7th to March 18th (no class on February 18th, Louis Riel Day). The full fee for this 10 week course is $60 and the drop-in fee is $7. Hope to see you there.

Westworth United Church
VOCAL ASCENT COMMUNITY CHOIR presents BY POPULAR REQUEST, a concert of audience-pleasing songs selected from their diverse and dynamic repertoire, on Sunday January 27 at 7:00 pm. All funds raised are in support of Westworth United Church, who generously provide the choir with a beautiful rehearsal space. Special guest musicians from Westworth will also be performing.
