Playwriting Group meeting tonight! And an update on our next reading.....

23rd January - Tonight!! - Playwriting group - The Honor Oak

The first meeting of the Playwriting group will take place on tonight at the Honor Oak Pub at 7.30.

Everyone is welcome to join the group. We are all enthusiastic amateurs who want to help improve each other's writing. We meet to read through the pieces we have written on the subject agreed at the last meeting. After discussing each in turn and offering suggestions.

The theme that we agreed on at the last meeting was 'the end of the party.' There's no restrictions on length and the theme is open to your own interpretations.

Don't worry if you haven't written anything or if this is your first time, come along and help us with the readings and you can be involved in deciding what theme we use for the next subject.

30th January - Reading - The Blythe Hill Tavern

'And Then There Were None' by Agatha Christie.

Ten strangers, apparently with little in common, are lured to an island mansion off the coast of Devon by the mysterious U.N.Owen. Over dinner, a record begins to play, and the voice of an unseen host accuses each person of hiding a guilty secret. That evening, former reckless driver Tony Marston is found murdered by a deadly dose of cyanide.

The tension escalates as the survivors realise the killer is not only among them but is preparing to strike again… and again...
