We've got some fun content coming your way in 2019! New podcasts, features and of course still working very hard on our documentary film, Women's Work: The Untold Story of America's Female Farmers.

We're kicking off the 2019 podcasts with a super fun interview. Come listen to how artist Meagan Burns went from Chicago to the only organic, grass-fed, grass-finished cattle ranch in Mexico! Above is an example of her beautiful sketch work inspired by her work on the ranch. You don't want to miss this one!

INSTAGRAM TIPS

I recently gave a marketing workshop to a wonderful group of farmers with the local extension and library systems. While I focused on the art of visual storytelling, and how to unlock the secrets on great photos, I was a bit surprised at the volume of questions about instagram. So I am kicking off a mini-series in the next few newsletters on how to up your instagram game!
The Perfect Instagram Profile Blueprint
  1. Have a descriptive and memorable handle. If you have missed getting your preferred handle, it's best to try to avoid too many underscores or other fillers. If possible, try to put them at the end.

  2. Have a professional looking profile picture or your logo. Try to not change it very often so that people come to recognize your branding.

  3. Create a searchable name - for example, my handle is @rootedinthevalley (the name of my first book) but my name is Female Farmer Project so I can be found by people searching for me.

  4. A clear bio of WHO you are, WHERE you are, and WHAT you do for your customer.

  5. Your call to action - a link for them to take the next step in the journey to getting to know you. If you want to include more than one website link - here are some free link services - linktree | audiencetools

thank you!

What an honor to be included in UNUM Magazine's Visionary Issue alongside some luminaries like Congresswoman Deb Haaland.
