What's your D.I.E.T?  Does. It. Energize. Thou?   Lol!!!  It doesn't quite flow but I wanted to use the acronym DIET anyway because the New Year inevitably brings with it the language of New Year's Resolutions and how people eat is a common resolution.  However, I'm talking about the diet of your whole self.  Does it energize me?  That's a different question.  And for everyone the answer will be different.  You might find that getting more sleep energizes you.  Setting clearer boundaries.  Being creative.  Exercising or taking up something that you haven't done in years that brings you joy.  Marie Kondo is challenging people to clean their closets and drawers and ask the question 'does this bring me joy?' when looking at keeping or pitching items.  Whether it's people, food, what you're reading or how you are spending your time.  It's important to consider 'does it bring me joy or does it energize me?'.  We all need to work at energizing our bodies and minds and calming them....every day.  Assess how you are spending your time and decide if you want this object, person, activity or food in your life and if it is serving you.  You are the master of your choices and everything that you do and consume impacts upon your mental health.  I like the meme I saw on Facebook recently.  I can't copy the picture because it has copyright  privileges, however, it says

Don't just focus on your size.  The amount of skin on our bodies is just the coat we wear.  Focus more deeply on what will help your cells and organs to maintain themselves so you can feel better, what will nourish your mind and soul.  And then choose it.  You're worth it.

And on a more 'business-y'  I wanted to say thank you to all of the people that wrote me and let me know that they get nourishment from these blog posts.  I'm glad.  That was my goal.  However, I have decided that I am going to be 'looser' with my blog posts this year.  You may not get one every week.  I have gotten busy enough in my business that I am sometimes working overtime to write them and I don't want to do that anymore.  So I will continue to write them when I am inspired to speak to situations that come up in the news or stories I've heard that speak to trends around the subject of resilience.  And they're coming off of the 'to do' list!!!  That's part of my 'D.I.E.T' for the New Year!

Also, it has been confirmed that the building I am renting space in has been sold so I will be looking for and moving to a new office space by the summertime.  If you know of anything that you think would work then please let me know.

Have a great day!
