SMALL CULTURAL GRANTS 2019 - 2020

Established in 1998, our Small Cultural Grants program supports a diverse range of activities that enrich the cultural life of our area, and promote community participation in cultural activities. This program is open to individual and not-for-profit community groups in the local cultural industry, including music, performing arts, visual arts, crafts and other cultural initiatives. Those from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders are encouraged to apply. NEW CULTURAL PLAN ON PUBLIC EXHIBITION
8 JANUARY - 12 FEBRUARY 2019
Council has developed a new Cultural Plan for our City, Creative Wollongong 2019-2024. This Plan demonstrates our commitment to creative life and outlines what we will do during the next five years to build a more vibrant Wollongong. Click here to have a look at the Plan and tell us what you think.

LOWER TOWN HALL STUDIOS - CREATIVE SPACES
Expressions of Interest NOW OPEN
Are you a creative practitioner looking for an affordable studio in a creative and supportive environment?
Applications are now being accepted for Creative Spaces Lower Town Hall studios.
Two studios are available now, and four studios will be available from February 2019.
Participation Licence Agreements range from 3, 6 or 12 months and are decided by an assessment panel based on merit and availability. Studios are currently available for a maximum period of 12 months. Complete the Expressions of Interest Creative Spaces Lower Town Hall Studios 2019 and submit by 8 February 2019.

RENEW Wollongong
Expressions of Interest Now Open
Renew Wollongong invites expressions of interest from creative business enterprises, makers, creators, artists, and social enterprises to bring their ideas to life in a retail or office setting, completely rent-free.

Renew Wollongong is working with local agents to utilise empty commercial spaces on Crown Street to bring vibrancy, and foot traffic to the area.

BECOME A CREATIVE KIDS PROVIDER!
Create Something Great
The NSW Government is helping kids get creative with the new Creative Kids program. Parents, guardians and carers can apply for a voucher with a value of up to $100 per calendar year for each school-enrolled child. The voucher may be used with an approved activity provider for registration, participation and tuition costs for performing arts, visual arts, coding, languages, literary, music and other eligible creative and cultural activities. This is a 4-year program that is currently planned to run until 31 December 2022.
