Wassail at Gibbet Oak Farm, Appledore Road

Saturday 19 Jan 2019. An Old English tradition. Ticket only event £5, mini bus from Station Road car park. Folk ceremony, torch led procession, folk musicians, Morris dancing, gourmet locally sourced food to purchase (meat & vegan options), cash bar. Tenterden Social Hub

Appeal for volunteers for the Social Hub including:

Volunteer Minute Taker for our board of Trustees; we meet 4-5 times a year
Drivers for our vehicles to collect and drop off our members
Driver Escorts to support the drivers collecting our members
Delivering Meals on Wheels locally
Support for our staff with day to day help for elderly or adults with learning or physical disabilities

Tenterden Social Hub has been running for nearly 40 years and without the continued support of volunteers this wouldn't have been possible. We look after and support elderly people and adults with learning or physical disabilities. Our services include: Meals on Wheels, Home Help, Information Support, Bathing, Hairdressing and always a warm welcome.
