Students to attend Careers Fest
Students from Debden Park High School will be among those attending the tenth Careers Fest at New City College Epping Forest.
The Epping Forest Consortium and New City College Epping Forest are holding the Careers Fest at the college in Borders Lane, Loughton, on Thursday, January 31.
The collaborative event is organised by the six local secondary schools and the college with students from Roding Valley, West Hatch, Davenant, Debden Park, Epping St Johns, King Harold and the college able to visit some 75 exhibition stands.
Among those attending will be J P Morgan, the police, Army Careers, the NHS, Keir and M&G Investments.
Jaci Hammond, careers adviser at Debden Park High School, said: "This is a fantastic opportunity for our students and parents to speak first-hand with industry experts and employers.
"We have a variety of exhibitors attending and students will be able to access up-to-date information on apprenticeships, degree courses and career pathways."
Stephen Isherwood, CEO of the Institute of Student Employers, will be giving talks during the event.
Loughton Mayor Stephen Murray will also be attending.
The Careers Fest runs from 3pm until 6.30pm.
