Christmas was celebrated at the project site last month.
Aloha and welcome to our seventh Capital Campaign monthly update!
Last month over the holiday season, exterior infrastructure, framing, drywall, and painting continued at the Harry & Jeanette Weinberg Hoʻokupu Center. This month, work in the same areas resume. In the interior, fixtures (millwork, doors, counters, cabinets, kitchen equipment, etc.) are now being installed. On the exterior, concrete pavers are being poured, while the painting, roofing, landscaping, and parking are being worked on.
The MacNaughton Foundation Kitchen takes shape.
Concrete pavers are being poured for the American Saving Bank Outdoor Multipurpose Area.
Thanks to so many of you, we reached our fundraising goal of $6 million and officially closed out the Ho‘ahu Capital Campaign at the end of December. An astounding $20,000 was raised through crowdfunding alone, demonstrating the overwhelming community support for this project. Now we look forward to an wonderful Grand Opening and Open House on March 14, 2019. More details to come. We hope you will be able to join us in celebrating this historic event.
