Second ‘One Fayetteville Unity Gathering’ Scheduled for Jan. 31

Mayor Mitch Colvin is hosting the community’s second “One Fayetteville Unity Gathering” on Thursday, Jan. 31 at 6 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chamber, located at 433 Hay St. in Fayetteville. Members of the faith-based (including clergy), business, helping agencies and other communities from across the city have been invited to be a part of the event. The event is FREE and open to the public. Residents are welcome to participate. More Info

U.S. DOT Small Business Transportation Resource Center Hosts Construction Business Workshop  

A workshop on how to start a construction business will be held at the FAST Transit Center, 505 Franklin St., on Tuesday, Feb. 5 from 2 to 4 p.m. The workshop will be hosted by the U.S. DOT South Atlantic Region Small Business Transportation Resource Center in the second floor Community Room. More Info

City and County Convene Meeting to Discuss Tier 1 Opportunities

Mayor Mitch Colvin and County Commission Chair Jeannette Council met with N.C. Department of Commerce representatives and community leaders on Tuesday, Jan. 15 to discuss ways to seek funding opportunities under Cumberland County’s Tier 1 designation. Tier 1 counties are generally the 40 most economically distressed in the state. More Info
