Our journey from foraging and teaching to drinks producers has been a strangely natural progression. Everyone that has been on a foraging course with us has had a taster of the products we have created over the years and we’ve been asked many times why we don’t sell any… and if we ever would!
We have launched our own distilled drinks range under the name Bax Botanics.
“I’ve been flavouring alcohol with herbs and botanicals for years, then one day I decided to try to recreate the sensation of drinking alcohol but using the layers of flavour and taste profiles to give the ooooh and aaaaah of an alcoholic drink!” Says Rose. “The depth and complexity of the drinks makes them a treat to relax with.”
Bax Botanics was born in our lovely woodland, using foraged wild flavours, but as we wanted the ingredients to be completely sustainable, we tracked down organic and Fairtrade supplies and wow - we had some culinary fun!
“The drinks have been designed to suit different tastes. Verbena is the appetising, bright, herbal one that stimulates your taste buds and Sea Buckthorn is a luxurious, bitter fruit distillation to relax with at the end of a busy day.”
