  • FREE 2 day course 'Outdoor Learning in your School Grounds' for all staff keen to use their school grounds more.  29th + 30th April at Brackenbury Primary.  To find out more or book a place, contact Katie
  • Connecting children with local nature: UK research showcase & networking event for academics, practictioners, teachers and students. 17 - 18th June in Brighton.
  • Participate in an exciting research project with University of Brighton and BHee to make home-made camera traps and monitor wildlife in your school grounds. To register your interest please complete this form
  • South Downs National Park Travel Grants - up to £300 for travel to a site within SDNP, including Stanmer Park, Ditchling Beacon and Devils Dyke.  BHee can provide a free workshop in your chosen site. Apply as soon as grant opens - these are very popular!
Workshops & Outdoor Learning
  • Book a BHee Wildlife Workshop in your school grounds, a local park, downland or the beach to find out more about the rich diversity of wildlife in our city. Workshops are tailored to individual sites and each school's curriculum needs and are FREE! 
  • Bike to Nature - BHee is working closely with Sustrans to enable your class to explore the local environment by bike.  Find out more!
  • Could your school benefit from either a new or restored pond?  Froglife may be able to help!
  • RSPB are offering free curriculum related workshops in your school grounds
  • Stone Age and Saxon workshops available in the fantastic grounds of Moulsecoomb Primary School (including replica Mesolithic, Neolithic, Iron Age and Saxon buildings)
Waste* - reduction and reuse   *including plastics
  • Sign up to join in Waste Week - March 2019. Lots of ideas and teaching resources available on 'The Pod'  
  • Crisp packet recycling is finally here!  Schools can arrange free courier service to collect packets from their school, raising money for the school at the same time
  • Schools challenged by Damian Hinds to go Single Use Plastic-free by 2022.  Find out more!
  • Can your school take the Plastic Free Pledge?  Find out more and learn about the latest 'de-straw' campaign .... filmed in Brighton!

Water
  • Our Water Matters - an innovative environmental education project that provides fun virtual learning on the local water cycle of The Living Coast using the Minecraft Edu computer software programme for KS2 classes (typically Years 4 or 5) in local schools.  A few places are still available for the current funded programme – contact hello@blockbuilders.co.uk for more information
