Hey Calvary Family,
We are in full Storm Watch 2019! This week it actually rained pretty hard all over the state. It wasn't our typical drizzle resulting in multiple car accidents, widespread panic and nobody able to go to church. They say that this week of rain might even help put a dent in our drought conditions here in California. Is it the week that changed the drought? Only maybe.
There was another week where everything changed. This was the week we are digging into now on Sunday mornings at Calvary. It's the week that changed the world. The week where Jesus accomplished His final mission. The week leading up to his betrayal, arrest, death, burial and resurrection.
Think about how important the words are that He shares in this final week. Think about how meaningful His example should be for our lives in these last moments. We look forward to learning together this Sunday morning.
Please be praying for the 150 people leaving today on the Mexico Housebuilding Trip to change the world for five families by building five homes. Imagine being without a house in the rain this week. Imagine that by this Sunday those five families will have not just a house, but a well-furnished and loving home. They will also be connected to Jesus and a caring church community.
Pray for these five families. Please also pray for those going to build - for safety, to bear fruit, to get along well and to be bold with their witness. My family will be on this trip, so I look forward to telling you more about it when we get back.
May the Lord bless you and keep you,
Eric
