Events & Opportunities

Would you like to start a Community Fridge?

Are you interested in tackling food waste in your community, while providing nutritious food to those who need it?

We are launching a free training programme for Replenish volunteers who would like to set up a community fridge in their local area. A community fridge is an open access fridge stocked with surplus food from local supermarkets and other businesses that is freely available to all members of the community.

What will the programme involve?

A taster session taking place in February, will be an introduction to community fridges from Riki Therivel who has successfully set up two community fridges in Botley and Blackbird Leys. Following this session, those who wish to join the programme will receive comprehensive support from Riki in all aspects of setting up a fridge, from building a team and finding a venue to finding suppliers to stock the fridge.
Taster Session:
Saturday 2nd February, 10:30 AM - 1:00 PM
Botley Community Fridge, St Peter & St Paul Church, OX2 9JY
