NEWS FROM THE JACKIE FACTORY

Greetings from New Orleans where we are encamped, dreaming the new season's shows to life. Though we producers have often spent parts of the winter here, for the first time we are producing a Jackie Factory spectacle in town, NOTS NEW ORLEANS on 2/8. The warmth and excitement of the local performance and club communities is inspiring, as are the friends traveling in from all over to perform and attend.

Soon after, we'll be back in Gotham for a night very close to our hearts - the Valentine's Night opening of LOVE & RESISTANCE, the STONEWALL 50 exhibition at the NYPL, with soundtrack by our own DJ JOHNNY DYNELL.  And finally, we've just announced this year's theme and opened booking for the 29th NYC edition of NOTS - the tarot-drenched SORCERESS - on 5/4. NIGHT OF 1000 STEVIES - the largest and most beloved STEVIE NICKS fan event in the world - will deliver two editions this year - in NYC and New Orleans.  For the 29th annual NYC edition of this beloved show, producers promise an exploration of Stevie Nicks and her songs through tarot archetypes including THE HIGH PRIESTESS and THE STAR.

As THE JACKIE FACTORY begins work on this memorable edition, they will be reviewing New Performer/Ensemble Applications for this year's show through March 4 and also welcome inquiries from past performers interested in returning at that time. LOVE & RESISTANCE: STONEWALL 50

RITA MAE BROWN, TONY KUSHNER, AND EDMUND WHITE (Honorary Chairs of The LGBTQ Initiative at the New York Public Library) invite you to attend an exhibition preview and opening reception for  LOVE and RESISTANCE: STONEWALL 50. The Stonewall 50 exhibition will examine LGBTQ life and activism from 1965-1975, exploring the events leading up to Stonewall and its enduring impact on the LGBTQ civil rights movement. Join us for a very special Valentine's Day as we celebrate the opening of this powerful exhibition commemorating one of the most pivotal moments in the fight for LGBTQ rights. The soundtrack "Songs of Love and Resistance" will be spun live by Factory maestro JOHNNY DYNELL.

ONE EYED JACKS

NIGHT OF 1000 STEVIES - the largest and most beloved STEVIE NICKS fan event in the world - is coming to New Orleans on February 8.  Like the NYC marathon NOTS editions that turn 29 in May, this Enchanted evening will be produced by show founders CHI CHI VALENTI and JOHNNY DYNELL and their creative krewe at THE JACKIE FACTORY. Neither a contest nor a karaoke show, NOTS is the Stevie Nicks celebration ne plus ultra - a riot of shawls, lace, baby's breath, twirling, tambourines and great performance.

The show will feature Legends of Stevie Realness (NOTS NYC stars) including Southern Belladonnas JAZMEN FLOWERS (Jackson, Miss), DIVINE GRACE (Orlando) KIMBERLY CLARK, cover Stevie BROOKE ALYSON (Houston) and RYAN LANDRY. NOTS debut performers will include local and regional interpretations from DEDE ONASSIS, CHERRY BROWN, RISE DUPREE (Houston) and the great JAKE SHEARS. Longtime NOTS DJ SAMMY JO (Club Cumming) will spin the all-Stevie/Fleetwood dancefloor and "Enchantress of Ceremony" EMPRESS CHI CHI VALENTI will keep the white winged talent flowing. The show will climax with the iconic "Battle of A Thousand Stevies" finale and tambourines will be tossed to the Enchanted audience through the night.
