Hey folks!

| CNN is coming to Brazil. A founder of a big construction company is licensing the brand to operate in Brazil. According to Estado de S.Paulo newspaper, 400 journalists will be hired. "The use of the name of CNN, however, does not imply the adoption of the editorial guidelines of the American media group", wrote Alessandra Monnerat in this piece for Knight Center (in English), quoting an article of Folha de S.Paulo. Congressman Eduardo Bolsonaro, son of the president, didn't like the news. | An article about the importance of journalism in defending indigenous people in Brazil during Bolsonaro era. In a tweet, investigative reporter Rubens Valente lists the indigenous lands under attack actually. | In a video, reporter Lola Ferreira, of Gênero e Número, analysis the first ten days of Bolsonaro administration and its relation with the press. | An academic paper of politics and spectacle in the last issue of Estudos de Jornalismo e Mídia: "the objective of this work is to analyze the dispute between political actors and the media in the construction of the image from the transformation of the social spaces with the new technologies", wrote the authors in the subject. |
