We have a few slots remaining!! It's not too late.
Sign-up for Inman's annual talent show. This is our 3rd year, and a great opportunity for your student to show off their talents to friends, family and classmates. It is open to all Inman students. Talents can be anything from dancing, playing an instrument, singing, acting out a skit, if you have a skill...sign-up to perform it on stage! Students can perform solo or with friends.
We will take the first 24 acts, so sign-up early. The performance will be Sunday, March 3. Email

WINTER DANCE: FALSE SPRING

On March 8, everyone is invited to the Winter Dance to celebrate False Spring, otherwise known as that time of year when the weather becomes unusually warm before getting very cold again tricking flowers into early bloom. There will be food, drinks and music to the tunes of

SCHOOL SUPPLY DRIVE
Please assist State Superintendent Student Advisory Council and Inman's Jr. Beta Club collect new school supplies. This will help Inman's counseling department provide materials to Inman students who need them. Please drop off new notebooks, book bags, pencils, composition books, etc to your child's grade level counselor's office. 6th Ms. Schultz, 7th Ms. Todman, 8th Ms. Martin. Collection until this Friday, Feb. 8th. Thanks!
VALENTINE'S LUNCHEON
As Valentine's Day and Winter Break approach, we thought it would be a wonderful experience for our students (all grades) to receive homemade Valentine's cards from their parents/guardians AND to eat lunch with them at school. So....Parents and Guardians, you have HOMEWORK!!!
* Create a card for your student(s), no larger than 8 1/2 x 11 inches
* Be creative: include pictures, poetry, nicknames
* Cards will be displayed the week of February 11, 2019
Please submit cards no later than Thursday, February 7, 2019. You can submit them to your student's homeroom teacher.

CINS 2019 LEGISLATIVE UPDATE

Public education is always a hot topic under the Gold Dome. Hear the latest from this year's legislative session and take advantage of this opportunity to engage informally with legislators and education policy experts on issues that affect intown students and schools.
Confirmed speakers include State Representative Scott Holcomb, State Senator Nan Orrock, State Senator Elena Parent, Stephen Owens (Georgia Budget and Policy Institute) and Erica Long (Atlanta Public Schools).

INMAN PTO NOMINATING COMMITTEE
The Inman Middle School PTO is looking for members to join its Nominating Committee. The Nominating Committee is a special committee that holds the key to a successful PTO. The Committee is responsible for presenting the best qualified nominees for office for the 2019-2020 PTO Board. The Committee will consist of 3-4 parents. Please join us for a viewing of Angst, an IndieFlix Original, documentary designed to raise awareness around anxiety. The film includes interviews with kids, teens, educators, experts, parents and a very special interview with Michael Phelps. A panel discussion will follow.

PARENT - TEACHER CONFERENCES
Beginning in January 2019, IMS academic parent/teacher conferences will be heldafter school and will be scheduled
online. These conferences will replace the “during school” team conferences.
Parents/Guardians can sign-up for multiple conferences throughout the semester on an as-needed basis.
The Inman parent academic conferences will be after school from 4:30-5:15 PM. We believe the time works better for parents and staff. Parents can choose teachers they need to see, which includes Connections teachers. Administrators, counselors, and instructional coaches will also be available for support. Simply visit the “My Conference Time” link located on the Inman website or
HERE and schedule a conference with the teachers you need to see. Academic conferences are available on the following days:
January 22, 29
February 12, 26
March 12, 26
April 16, 30
May 14
Once in the platform, please click the appropriate grade level link. You will see a list of grade level teachers displayed. Click on the name of each teacher that you want to see and fill in the appropriate information. Note that there are two columns that are date specific. The first column is for January 22 and the second column is for January 29.
Please be at your scheduled conference day no later than 4:25 p.m. School staff will be in the school atrium to assist you with getting to your conference location. Once you arrive to your conference location, school staff will be available to show you to your conference table. 7
