The God who made the world and everything in it, being Lord of heaven and earth, does not live in temples made by man, nor is he served by human hands, as though he needed anything, since he himself gives to all mankind life and breath and everything.
Acts 17:24-25 (ESV)

The world that we live in today loves creating God in their personal image and likeness. Humanity has always tried to fashion a god out of their humanness, as though he is needy for the world to be “good enough.” Thankfully, Beloved, that's not who God is. He is so much bigger.
It's easy for us to miss who He is and misunderstand the things that He does simply because we think we have all the answers. We forget the fact that God made the world and everything in it. He's the Lord of heaven and earth. He does not live in our man-made churches. He does not need anything from us for Him to be complete. He is all-sufficient in Himself. That's what enables Him always to choose what is right and give us the answers that we need when we pray. Unlike humans in a fallen world, He is never emotionally handicapped.
Thank You, Father, for reminding me that You made the world and are in control. I trust You whether I feel it or not. Forgive me for making You small when You are all-powerful and all-sufficient. You can do abundantly more than anything we ask for, or can even think of, because You are God. I turn over my story to You again today, knowing that You have Your best in mind for me. in Jesus' name, Amen!
