Meet Our Staff Team | BC AHSN profiles Jean Smart of Clinical Trials BC

In each issue of the News, we profile a member of the BC AHSN community. This month, we feature Jean Smart, Regulatory Affairs and Quality Officer at Clinical Trials BC (CTBC). CTBC is one of three operational units of BC AHSN.

Jean Smart is an unassuming presence in the BC AHSN offices in Vancouver. However, many colleagues don't realize that she's an internationally-recognized leader in clinical research regulation with experience across North America and Europe.

"Jean is a real enabler and champion of building a strong infrastructure for clinical research in BC."

- Cindy Trytten, Director, Research &
Capacity Building, Island Health

Read about how Jean envisions how the Clinical Trials BC team will create meaningful change in BC health research as an essential part of the British Columbia Academic Health Science Network.
