It was a bit of a challenging week with historically cold temps, but we made it, and we bring to you some highlights of OUR senior - Tony! Also a great pick of the week with an important book by Risa Kirschner!
Doug appears to be in a little pain. Maybe he's still trying to thaw out after the polar vortex...
Our pick of the week is Feel Better, Mommy - a book by Risa Kirschner. Risa is an author, lecturer, attorney, & real estate broker. She developed heart failure at age 29, leading to four major cardiac surgeries at the University of Michigan. Once she recovered, she became an advocate for Patient and Family Centered Care, and she served on the executive committee of the Frankel Cardiovascular Center at the university. Based on the real experiences of Risa's then two-year-old daughter, this sweet story teaches that hospitals are safe places for healing and that parents always love their children, even if they have to spend time away from home. We are proud to have been involved in this project taking the headshots of Risa for the website which you can visit and learn more at THIS LINK.
