Vocational Education Orientation Winter Camp

On the 14th of January, 2019 PS4L in cooperation with GIZ and implemented on behalf of BMZ  launched a four-day Winter Camp in partnership with Dar AlKalima University College of Arts & Culture Bethlehem. A combination of 100 young females took part as they came to join us from three different schools; Battir School, Hussan School, and Al Awda school. Throughout the four days, the participants enjoyed four days that were split into sports and life skills for employability and a variety of workshops that were given and led by Dar AlKalima. Our coaches, Worood Sawalha Fadi Abu Kaf, Khaled Khashan, Karam Al Ali, Ahmed Ajweh, Shada Siam and coordinators Jawad Ziad and Nayef Hani Maqboul lead the sports sessions as they
taught life-skills such as teamwork, communication, strategy making, perseverance, and self-confidence. It is significant for the participants to learn about such life-skills because it will help them in schools, future career, and anywhere that requires interaction. Moreover, Dar AlKalima offered four workshops that had introductory courses for cooking, photography, art, and music. The participants enjoyed the sessions and the courses as they took a bigger idea on what their future choices and option can be, as well as learning the importance of soft skills.
We would like to thank GIZ, our coaches, Dar AlKalimeh our participants, and everyone who was part of this success.
Stay tuned for the video.
