The Bret Harte Girls on the Run is back! Girls on the Run is a fun learning program that teaches life skills and self-empowerment through lessons and running games for Bret Harte girls in grades 3-5. The season culminates with a celebratory 5K Race, which is open to the public and families!
Practice start in April and will be held on Tuesdays and Thursday 3:45-5:00 p.m. on the Bret Harte field. A flyer will be sent home in the coming weeks with more information and instructions on how to register for the program. The team is coached by Mrs. Bredeck (a second grade teacher at Harte). More coach volunteers are needed. Coaching is a great opportunity to spend time with your child and her friends, get some exercise, and have fun! You do not need to be a coach or runner to coach!
Girls on the Run is so much fun! Please contact Mrs. Bredeck with any questions or to volunteer.

SPECIAL 50TH ANNIVERSARY SPIRIT WEAR!

On behalf of the Bret Harte staff and students, I would like to thank all of the parent volunteers who came in this week to help students make Valentine's Day cards for children and staff at CHOP, as part of the Great Kindness Challenge. Also, a big thank you goes out to our awesome PTA for providing staff with coffee and donuts this past Thursday. What a way to be kind and Harte SMART!!!
