Calendar
Yikes. What a week?!? We now have nine school days (+2 hours) to make up, and we have another two months of winter left. If we don't lose another day, our last day of school will be Friday, May 31.  
 

 

Catholic Schools Week, Rescheduled
Monday, 2/4 - Students may wear sweats, jeans, t-shirts, but they must wear something SJS. Grades 2 - 5 have a  field trip
Tuesday, 2/5 - Volleyball vs. the Staff at 1pm
Wednesday, 2/6 - Minute-toWin-it at 1pm
Thursday, 2/7 -  Jump Rope for Heart
Friday, 2/8 - Mass 10 - 11am, Lunch with parents @ 11am, Talent show and Haiti Raffle noon - 3pm
 

Basketball Rescheduled

Since the weather has cancelled so many games, the boys will participate in a triangular event on Friday, Feb 8, beginning at 4pm at Waterloo Christian School. They will depart at 3pm and play back-to-back games at 4pm & 5pm against different opponents. 

From Remind

We’re thrilled to share the news: Thanks to you, Verizon has informed us that they will #ReverseTheFee. As a result, we can continue to offer text notifications as part of the Remind service. There will be no service disruption for Verizon Wireless customers.

STO
The School Tuition Organization is now accepting financial aid applications (online only). This is the website link https://online.factsmgt.com/aid. A significant change for the 2019-20 school year is that all families that file taxes will be required to submit their 2018 tax return. In order to give families more time to complete and upload their 2018 tax return, the deadline for round #1 has been extended to April 15. Important: You must apply for  STO in order to qualify for Kucera Grant and local tuition assistance scholarship money.


Tuition Tax Credit
The updated information and form for for tuition tax credit can be accessed by clicking HERE. The credit is equal to 25% of the first $1,000 of the total for each child. The maximum credit per child is $250. 


Lunch Balances
Just a reminder to parents that lunch notices are not being sent home this year.  PowerSchool allows you to check your balance online as well as receive email notifications when balances are low.  We have several accounts that are in need of attention.  If you have any questions, please call the school.  Thank you!
