Summer Mission Project News
We've received several emails and text messages in the past few days regarding the 2019 Summer Youth Mission Projects. Below you will find just the information for the two mission projects.
We are excited to share this update on our planned mission trips for Summer 2019! Our Youth Ministry is conducting two mission trips this summer working with a domestic and an international non-profit organization. Harvest of Hope
Thurs., June 27-Sun., June 30, 2019
The Harvest of Hope mission project with the Society of St. Andrew is available to rising middle and high school students. This is a great four-day long mission to Mount Olive, NC to glean crops from fields to provide food to local food banks and pantries. Participants will also learn about food scarcity and poverty while serving. Meetings for the Harvest of Hope mission project begin Sunday, March 24, at 5:00 pm in the Youth Lounge. Bahamas Methodist Habitat
Sun., Aug. 11-Sat., Aug. 18, 2019
The international mission project with the Bahamas Methodist Habitat is available to rising high school students who have previously participated in a domestic mission project with New Creation. Our team may help lead Vacation Bible School for local children or assist in disaster recovery or mitigation. Meetings for the Harvest of Hope mission project begin Sunday, February 3, at 5:00 pm in the Youth Lounge. Check out the Mission Project Covenant below for more information and to sign up to serve.
