The annual Culiacan outreach to migrant farmers is currently taking place.
Please ask God to daily protect the workers as they visit the migrant camps to share the gospel.
Pray that the vehicles will not have any problems.
Pray for open doors to share the good news of Jesus. Each year, thousands of recordings are given out in 100’s of languages.
Pray for Chucho and Diana as they provide leadership for the Culiacan outreach.
Pray for recordist, José de Jesús Tejeda. A year ago their son passed away while they were involved with the Culiacan outreach.
Pray that the team in Mexico will have their financial needs met.
February 3 – February 9 – Canada Board
Pray for the GRN Canada Board as it meets on Monday to go over the 2018 financials before they are released to the auditor.
Pray for David Elliott, as he prepares reports for the Board meeting.
Pray for Board members, Roy Grant; Chris Waters; Pratiba David; Glenn Wilton, Tim Whitehead; Alex Matheson and Bill Pearson.
Pray for God’s continued guidance to the board as they provide oversight for the ministry.
Praise God for the newest Board member, Pratiba David.
Pray that at least one new board member will be added this year.
February 10 – February 16 – International
Pray for the International Leadership Team as they work on ways to reopen the recording and distribution efforts in India.
Pray for the Wutun people of central China that they will soon be introduced to the only true God. The ethnic identity of the Wutun is bound up in their Tibetan religion.
Director Andrew Kanu and his team in Sierra Leone, West Africa recently surveyed an area of 16 villages in which there were no believers. Pray for the Holy Spirit to open up opportunities to share the gospel in these villages.
Ask God to guide the GRN operations within Europe as they seek to work closer together.
Pray too that God will lead them as they consider appointing a European Director.
Pray for Kenny McKee, the director for the UK. He is also a recordist and a trainer.
February 17 – February 23 – Volunteer Week
We have some great volunteers that go out of their way to help the ministry. Please uphold each of our volunteers this week in prayer.
Sandra Wilton, the GRN Canada prayer coordinator prepares prayer requests every month and leads a small group of prayer warriors.
Howard Bryce, is our longest serving volunteer. He faithfully joins us for prayer and also helps with preparing the quarterly Update for mailing.
Jon and Pricilla Duncan, join us for prayer every month and help with putting on labels and stuffing envelopes for mailing the Update.
Carol, Hartley and Flo help on mailing days to make sure the Update can get in the mail.
Volunteers also help with preparations for our annual banquet every April.
Pray that the Lord will raise up new volunteers to be a help to our current helpers.
Even if you do not live in the Hamilton area you can still volunteer. Pray about forming your own monthly prayer group for GRN. Be an advocate at your local church for the ministries of GRN Canada.
February 24 – February 28 – GRN
Gurung Kaski is a language spoken by a people group living in Nepal. Pray that recently recorded materials will be distributed and that many lives will be impacted by the message content.
The new Omega Solar player, loaded with GRN audio content, is available through several GRN centres. Pray for widespread use of players, whatever the model, so people can meet Jesus Christ.
Pray for the mailing of the Update as it goes in the mail.
Praise God for the continued development of the 5fish App. People are amazed to see how many languages can be downloaded onto their phones with gospel material.
Development of the updated Saber player will provide a solid machine for remote areas. Pray that it will soon be in production.
Pray for the ministries in Kenya and Tanzania as they research languages that need recording.
