HAPPY VALENTINE'S MONTH! I can't wait to show the earth how much we love it together.
What better way to inspire us than with a quote from the love guru himself: One touch of nature makes the whole world kin.

We're Going Food Waste-LESS!
I hope you enjoyed kicking off the New Year with our resolution to take better care of our two homes- our earth and our bodies- by Going Meat-LESS. For February, I want to continue our Everyday Eco-Habit journey in the kitchen by going Food Waste-LESS. Believe it or not, food waste is a major cause of global climate change and wastes precious natural resources, not to mention wasting your money! I am excited to partner once again with My Green Friends Pamela Salzman of Kitchen Matters and Chance Batchelor of Chance's Kitchen as they share their tips for using food you already have in your kitchen to reduce your food waste. And you can win a copy of Pamela's awesome book: Kitchen Matters!
Thank you for making our earth a little healthier by Going Meat-LESS and I hope you’re feeling healthier too! I ate some delicious Meat-LESS meals, read an amazing plant-based book (OMD for the Planet), learned some easy Meat-LESS recipes from My Green Friends Chrissy Roth, Curry Girls Kitchen and Pamela Salzman, and even saved some money because I bought less meat! Check out my interview of Suzy Amis Cameron and don't miss checking out Chrissy Roth's guest blog and the video we did together demonstrating how to make lentil bolognese!
Interview with Suzy Amis Cameron:
How You Can Change The World
By Eating One Plant-Based Meal A Day
I was proud to partner with Suzy Amis Cameron on this month’s Everyday Eco-Habit of Going Meat-LESS and interview her here. I had the privilege of getting to know Suzy a few years back from our mutual work in environmental education at Grades of Green (for me) and the MUSE School CA (for her). Suzy was and is a source of inspiration for me and I hope she will be for you as well.
Guest Blog by Chrissy Roth:
The Health Benefits Of Going Meat-LESS
I was thrilled to have Chrissy Roth guest blog this past month for Going Meat-LESS. Chrissy and I know each other from our work educating kids in our children's elementary school about how and why to protect the environment. She is an OG environmentalist and I have learned so much from her. Read more of her journey and reasons for taking her family to a plant-based diet. And don't miss the video we did together on making lentil bolognese and plant-based after school snacks.
