February Book Club

Our February Book Club selection is based on a notorious true-life scandal.  “Before We Were Yours” by Lisa Wingate starts with a Memphis family in 1939 that live aboard a shantyboat on the Mississippi River.  The five siblings end up in a Tennessee orphanage.  Many years later, Avery Stafford, living a life of wealth and privilege, has her world shaken by a chance encounter.  She begins the journey through her family’s long-hidden past.

Books are available for checkout at our circulation desk in a variety of formats. Stop by to pick up your copy.

The group will meet at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 19 for discussion.  New members and occasional drop-ins are always welcome to the group.

For more information, contact the library at 330-683-1065.
