Can you believe the holiday season is already over and January has come and gone? Well, it is February now and we are gearing up for Valentine's Day, February 14th. This month, we would like to challenge you to show love to your neighbor. A few ideas include: stopping by just to visit, leaving a little gift or note, inviting them out to dinner, or finally introducing yourself. Also, don’t forget to show some love to the significant other in your life!
We are excited about this new year and some of the changes you will be hearing about over the next few months! A few of the changes include an updated website and activities that are occurring this spring. Spring events are listed in the Neighborhood News and our website. Please check out the message from our President about the new Membership Drive that will be occurring in March. We hope to simplify our dues collections.
As always this is your newsletter. If you have a story to share, a new social activity, or idea to attribute to our organization, please write it up and send it to htnavicepresident@outlook.com

We hope you and your family had a wonderful holiday season and may you be blessed with a memorable New Year filled with good health, peace, and happiness.
This year we had awesome holiday decorations which certainly made our neighborhood so nice.
The city is getting ready for the new City Council elections with many new candidates. Please get to know more about these candidates and elect the ones who truly care about our city and our residents. We will be holding a Candidates Forum where you can get to know them and ask questions. Please do attend this upcoming meeting.
Our HTNA Board is always looking for new members. Typically we spend only about 4 hours a month. Come join us and help us make our neighborhood a great place to live.
It's that time again and we heard you! The biggest complaint we hear is members not knowing when to pay their dues.
This year we will have a Membership Drive that will begin March 1st. Beginning this year, all dues will be due in March. This will cover your membership from January 1 to December 31. Dues are only $15 per year, and an application is in this newsletter. Just print and mail the application in with your check. Please be sure to include YOUR suggestions for our neighborhood needs, wishes, and activities. As always, we need volunteers.
Many reasons to join the HTNA include:
-Our team of volunteers keep our neighborhood a great place to call home.
-We meet with City Council and staff and work with them to fulfill our neighborhood needs.
-We have an active Crime Watch Patrol.
-We host Annual meetings with our members in Spring and Fall.
-We arrange for presentations by City Staff, Councilmen and others.
-We host social events including: Easter Egg Hunt, 4th of July Picnic, National Night Out, Fall Barbeque and more.
-We give Yard of the Month Awards and Holiday Decorations Awards.
-Our neighborhood participates in the City wildflower planting.
With Sincere best wishes to all.

Over the holiday season, HTNA had 12 vehicle break-ins. All vehicles were found to be unlocked each time. HTNA Crime Watch received the information from the Richardson Police Department.
|
|
Unlocked Cars are still the biggest problem in the area.
Please let Richardson police know if there is a break in. They keep information of other issues around town.
