A new Men’s Bible Study has begun at St. Patrick’s. The men are meeting on Friday mornings at 8:30 AM for 90 minutes in the Common Room at the church. The study will be based on the Revised Common Lectionary Calendar with sessions focusing on the readings for each Sunday. This is an excellent opportunity to learn about the Bible in general, as well as getting a preview of what will be happening on Sunday mornings. Lectionary study guides will be available for $10.00 and coffee and pastries will be served. Call Tom Allen at 214-766-7209 for more details or to reserve a place at the table. We are looking for more men to join us as we learn about Christ in the world today.

Quick recap of the Women's March from January 19 at the Courthouse Square! There were a number of speakers, each emphasizing our need to work together for the common good. Equity and justice for everyone.

The theme for the event was LOVE IN ACTION. We were invited to put love in action to work for the beloved community.
Pastor Lee Turner from Community Baptist Church was one of the event organizers.
Several Sonoma State students spoke about the challenges of remaining hopeful when faced with racist actions within our community on a daily basis. They emphasized the importance of family and faith, and encouraged us all to regard each other as family...to care for each other.
The Ballet Folkloric Jazmin performed beautiful dances from the Mexican culture.
There was a special program for children 5-10 years old. The final benediction was given by one of the children.
It was an uplifting event!

Would you like to help the Butte County Camp Fire victims? Here is how you can help with those affected.
Monetary and Gift Card Donations give personal agency to those in critical need at a time when they do not have control of the disaster around them. If there is a request for specific material donations, or if teams of volunteers are needed, that will be communicated to the wider diocese. For immediate needs, we are requested to collect gift cards at our parishes. The types of gift cards needed are: Wal-Mart, Target, Raley’s, Safeway, Chevron, Shell, and Amazon. You can mail the gift cards directly to St. John’s Episcopal Church in Chico, who will coordinate distribution.
