President's Message
The new year is off to a great start! The weather is behaving, allowing for some great winter golf and our first recruitment social of the year at Cascade Lakes Brewing was a hit! LPGA Amateurs Central Oregon is going strong due to you, our sponsors, your Board of Directors and LPGA Amateur Golf Association. Cheers to all!

In January’s newsletter I told you how the board is listening to you when planning the 2019 calendar of events. It would be helpful if you completed the member profile you may have recently received. Your profile information helps us know what kind of golf and social events are most meaningful to you. Based on the information we receive, we can schedule golf education clinics pertinent to your goals, focus our recruitment efforts, and help connect you with others that are like-minded.

Our success is based on volunteers. A big THANK YOU to Kellie Harper for tracking our participation stats and promoting us on FaceBook. A round of applause to Shari Howard for making sure tee times are secured, allowing members to show up at the scheduled time with no mess no fuss! A standing ovation to Diane Kirpach for getting our newsletter out every month. As you can imagine, without these ladies volunteering their time, our organization would suffer.  

Looking for Volunteers…
We are always in need of more volunteers and could use your help with the following:
  • Ashley Burbank, Marketing Director, could use someone to help with media and sponsor relations. This could be sending a sponsor a note of thanks to helping with our Passport program.  The time commitment is one-to-two hours a month.
  • Diana Chamberlin, Member Recruitment Director, needs help with recruitment events. Our annual Spring Kick-Off is just around the corner and requires several ladies to help procure donations and event set-up. Depending on what you choose to help with, the time commitment could be one-to-three hours a month.
  • Vicky Thomas, Member Services Director, needs help with social events. If you like planning a party, this could be for you! Vicky also needs a “social secretary” – someone to send words of congratulations and/or support to our members. The time commitment could be one-to-three hours a month depending on what you volunteer to do.
  • Halley Kramer and Laurel Ewing, co Golf Events Directors need someone to oversee handicaps and golf education.
Your consideration for helping us make LPGA Amateurs Central Oregon the best that it can be is greatly appreciated. Please email lpgaamateurscentraloregon@gmail.com and let us know how you can help.
