For two years, a chronic pain in the back of Debbie's legs, both legs, a burning ache... The pain has been getting worse, and we have been concerned for several months now. Three MRI's, an EMG, and waiting... What is the Lord doing?
We went to the doctor today. He tested her walking, standing, sitting, flexing, reaching - every movement, every force he could assess. And everything is solid, and fine. OK, a little arthritis in her hands - that's a family thing.
Hearing good news!
So Debbie is well, neurologically. There's nothing in her spine causing problems. There's nothing affecting her nerves. She is well. I just love that word. . . . . . . . She does have some pain in her muscular and skeletal systems. And physical therapy should bring the relief she needs. We have gone from big worries to small inconveniences. And I am so relieved (Brett).
Where are we on our path overseas?
The wedding is celebrated, and we are more and more freed up.
Our near term holds a few things:
- Midwest Conference on Missionary Care in February
- Physical Therapy
- Raising Support
- Helping my business to launch
- Planning for refugee work and moving overseas
Yes, we still have the timing to figure out - but far fewer constraints on us than we had last year. And now there's no terribly dark cloud over our future.
