The snowdrops arrive first, seemingly tentative and delicate, but with a resilience that sees them accept sunshine and dark, and deal with mild or hasher days. With the showier daffodils, they spell hope and promise and help us to recognise the lengthening days.
Agus Lá le Bríde ar láimh, guímís go meadfaí do dhóchas. You will be welcome to join us here in Manresa for any of the events described below - or for such time as you may be able to arrange.
May you find yourself seeking, finding and cherishing light in these darkening days.

Movies that Matter returns with a new selection of films. Each month, a film will be preceded by a brief introduction and afterwards there will be an opportunity to reflect both personally and as a group on the issues and values illustrated.

The Farthest

Ire, 2017, 121 mins, Cert PG

More than 12 billion miles away a tiny NASA spaceship called Voyager is leaving our Solar System and entering the void of deep space. This inspiring and uplifting documentary pays tribute to the ingenuity of scientists who created a craft with less computing power than a modern smart phone and which has now entered interstellar space.

Seeing the Light in Life

Bring your camera along for a time to notice what is happening around you - and take some time to see what is seeking life within you.

This weekend retreat will use light as a metaphor for life, evoking ancient wisdom from the Christian tradition. Led by Steve Radley, an award winning photographer and Anglican priest, characteristics and qualities of light will be explored and participants will be invited to find, reflect on and share images

  • 8:00 pm Friday 22 March 2019 to 2:00 pm Sunday 24 March 2019
Sometimes it is easier to be silent when in the company of others; if you would like to join a group to sit in stillness and quiet, you are welcome to Sitting in Silence. Rather than offering  teaching, instruction or guidance, these evenings will simply present an opportunity for companionable, contemplative quiet.  Whether you are familiar with meditation or just seeking a quiet time, you will be welcome to join, coming in time to let the silence be held from 6 to 6:30 p.m. each evening. (You are welcome to come from 5:45 p.m.)
  • 6:00 - 6:30 p.m. Wednesday 20 February, 27 February and 6 March 2019

Caith lá i Manresa in atmaisféar séamh ciún. Mar "Oasis Day", cuimsíonn lá mar seo roinnt eilimintí: am machnaimh, paidir threoraithe, seal leat féin agus deis chun bualadh le stiúrthóir spioradálta no dul ar faoistín; críochnaíonn ceiliúradh an Eocairist gach lá. Cé go mbeidh tú i do thost, nuair a cuiretar aon rud i láthair, is as Gaeilge a mbeidh sé.

Bíodh seal ciúin agat

Stay for some time of quiet and prayer
