"Getting Started with StoryMaps" with
Daniel Wickens from ESRI | January 31, 2019
At the end of January, we hosted Daniel Wickens, a Solution Engineer, from ESRI - the makers of ArcGIS Software - for a workshop on creating StoryMaps with ESRI's StoryMap tool. Thanks to everyone who came out in the polar vortex to learn about StoryMaps!

Story Map JS tutorials

StoryMap JS is a free tool that was developed by the Knight Lab at Northwestern University. Using their tool, you can make Story Maps using maps or really big images.

To get help with their tool, they have a handy help section on their website.

Additionally, these two videos can help you get started with the tool:

ESRI Story Map tutorials

There are lots of different types of StoryMaps available from ESRI. They provide a series of pages, presentations and videos about StoryMaps on their resources page.

The links and videos listed below will help you build three of the most common types, the Map Tour, Map Journal and Map Cascade.
