Carnival rolls into town Feb. 15-24
 Sandpoint's a ski town, so naturally, we love to celebrate winter! What better way to do that than with the ultra-fun annual Sandpoint Winter Carnival - kicking off Friday, Feb. 15 and running through Sunday, Feb. 24. It's a jam-packed nine days filled with family fun events including the K-9 Keg Pull (envision dogs running down a course towing an appropriately sized keg), a Night Parade and Fireworks at Schweitzer Mountain Resort, events in town including comedy shows and live music, plus much more. Outdoor event all about women
Now in its fourth year, Schweitzer Mountain Resort's SheJumps event coming up Sunday, Feb. 24, aims at connecting women who share a passion for the outdoors, welcoming those who are just starting to get their feet wet, and building the stoke of our younger generations to continue shredding! This year’s theme is luau – so practice your hula dance, bring your best winter tan and we’ll meet you on the mountain with leis! $10 registration fee includes entry into events, full Girafficorn access, make your own hula skirt, leis, a try at the Girafficorn GS, random fun prizes, plus a discount lift ticket for the day available with entry fee. |

Sandpoint goes all romantic for Valentine's
Show that special someone how much they're loved with dinner out on the town at one of Sandpoint's many enticing restaurants on Valentine's Day - Thursday, Feb. 14. Or perhaps a ski day at Schweitzer is more to your liking? Whatever the mood, you'll find an inviting atmosphere here - check out lodging options in Sandpoint and make it a weekend! - Valentine's Wine Pairing at the Pend d'Oreille Winery, 301 Cedar St., is a great way to get the evening started. There will be a special Valentine's menu of specialty cheeses and chocolate paired with library wines. Enjoy it with the jazz, blues, and Latin guitar and vocals of Chris O'Murchu from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m.
- Grateful Dead Jam Night kicks things up a notch at Idaho Pour Authority, 203 Cedar St., from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. with Scott Taylor. All musicians welcome!
