Freshman & Sophomore Networking and Mentorship Event

Fordham Club invites FCRH freshmen and sophomores to join seniors at a mentorship and networking event on Tuesday, Feb. 19th in Bepler Commons from 6-8pm. During a panel and roundtable discussions, students will have the opportunity to hear from seniors about internships, academics, and extracurriculars here at Fordham. This is a great opportunity to network with Fordham students who have a variety of professional experiences under their belt! Come with questions!

Apply for Systems Thinking

Systems Practice is a way to make sense of complex environments and uncover the dynamics that have the greatest potential for impact. This course will lead you through each step of understanding a system, analyzing it to find points of leverage, and learning how to adapt in a changing environment. You will also gain access to a portfolio of step-by-step tools, processes, and mindsets to apply to your current and future work. This course is ideal for professionals working on complex problems across any field of social impact.

Food Solutions Challenge
 
Did you know that solvable issues, like the lack of refrigeration, cause up to 23% of food loss in developing countries? And are a major contributor to climate change? Enter our design sprint to help find innovative solutions to this challenge at the nexus of food systems and climate change.

By hosting the Food Solutions Challenge you will flex your creative muscles, gain invaluable professional skills, and design real-world solutions! The ideas formulated at your event will be eligible to compete to attend a paid capstone event in Spring 2019 and a $10,000 grand prize for the winner.

Your chapter will receive:

- Funding and toolkits to host a 90-minute design sprint addressing food loss and climate change
100 points towards Gold Status
- A chance to attend a paid capstone event in Spring 2019
- $10,000 grand prize, $2,500 and $1,000 for two runners-up

Suzanna Cohen Legacy Foundation Prizes

The Suzanna Cohen Legacy Foundation Writing Competition is open to any Fordham student, ungergraduate or graduate. A $750 prize is awarded one person in each of the four categories. To learn more about the contest click here.  The deadline to apply is February 20th.
