Mark your calendars, put a reminder on your phone and spread the word - entries for the 17th Australian Masters Games open at 9am (AEST) on Tuesday 12 February.

Why not make this the year you enter in two or three sports? Give trail running a go, or maybe get a crew together and enter in futsal. With over 40 sports on offer there's something for everyone.

The Games are just as much about the social events as they are about the sports and this year we are bringing back the Games hub at the Adelaide Convention Centre.

We'll be hosting the Games Opening on Saturday 5 October, Mid Week Party on Wednesday 9 October and Closing Ceremony on Saturday 12 October. And there will be no shortage of things to do in between!

Stay tuned for more details as we get closer to October.

New to this year's program is walking football. Perfect for those who want to stay active, but might not be able to get around as easily as they used to. Just because you can't run doesn't mean you can't play.

The competition will run along side the regular football program from Tuesday 8 - Saturday 12 October at the Valo Football Centre. The only difference (aside from the walking) is the minimum age is 50 years.

Get the old crew back together and give walking football a go.
