Spelling Bee Winners: Every January our school participates in the regional Spelling Bee! Even though just 4-6th participate regionally, all the classes practice mini spelling bees and then come up with winners. In Mrs. R's room, Lilly and Aurelia were the winners! And going on to regionals, Tessa and Julian will represent PHCS with Izaac as a runner up! We are so proud of all of these students and will give you more information as to when the regional Spelling Bee is soon! C-O-N-G-R-A-T-U-L-A-T-I-O-N-S!
6th Grade leadership
In our 6th Grade Student Leadership class, students thought about how they would like to serve our school, and then were approved using Roberts Rules of Order ("I move that we vote on Riley being Vice President", etc.) Thankfully, each class member was able to get the role he/she wanted. Mrs. See is excited to see these students initiate events and projects and learn how to carry those projects through! Here is your PHCS Student Government Team:
- President: Tessa
- Vice President: Riley
- Secretary: Chloe
- Treasurer: Ethan
- Sergeant at Arms: Mrs. See 😊

Enrollment Meetings are NEXT WEEK!

Chapel
This week we had the pleasure of having one of our own parents share her family's story about missions in Romania! Randall and Sammy Precup have a special place in their hearts for this European country as Sammy was born there! Mrs. Precup shared pictures of the orphans in Romania as well as her trip as a 13 year old to share God's love with them. She also shared how God softened her heart from being self-centered to others-oriented on that trip. Our students land teachers even learned to say, "Jesus loves you" in Romanian! Thank you, Mrs. Precup for sharing about a country in Europe that needs our support and prayers.
Orchestra Field Trip
On February 7, our school will go listen to the sounds of the Santa Rosa Orchestra down in the Green Music Center at Sonoma State University. Included in the orchestra is alumni Devon Bolt on flute! We will need some drivers, so please sign up on the permission slip coming home this week! Make sure all your insurance information is on file and up to date in the office.
