Carrickfergus Community Forum is a registered Umbrella Body with Access NI. This means that we submit enhanced criminal record checks for community organisations in Carrickfergus. Access NI authorises umbrella bodies to provide these services to organisations.

Community Foundation for NI: Circle of Change Fund


A brand new fund - the Circle of Change Fund is supported by a group of people from all backgrounds across NI who have come together to make grants of up to £7.5K for projects around mental health, homelessness/housing, minority groups.  


Comic Relief: Children Survive and Thrive: Rise and Shine


The aim of this programme is to support child-centred approaches, and to make progress in addressing the comprehensive development needs of children during their early years, up to and including their transition to primary school.    


BBC Children in Need: Curiosity


Provides grants of up to £10,000 for projects that engage disadvantaged children and young people in science based activities and encourage them to be curious about the world around them, making a positive difference in their lives. (NB event for potential applicants on Friday 1st February at BBC Broadcasting House, Ormeau Avenue.)



Power NI: Brighter Communities Fund


Makes £1000 available each month to NI community groups and individuals to help people implement innovative and creative projects which will change and improve their local community for the better.



Paul Hamlyn Foundation: Youth Fund


Supports organisations helping young people (aged 14-25) in the most precarious positions, where making the transition to adult independence is most challenging. Core funding grants usually 2 years and between £30,000 and £60,000.
