Felipe de Ávila Franco - Insolit Solids at Hanaholmen on Thursday February 7th 2019 at 5:30 PM – 7 PM

Felipe de Ávila Franco is a Brazilian-born artist based in Finland since 2013. The exhibition is part of a collaboration between Hanaholmen and Globe Art Point aiming to highlight new names in the contemporary art fields in Finland and Sweden.

ACADEMY OF MOVING PEOPLE & IMAGES OPEN CALL 2019

A one year fee-free intensive and hands-on filmmaking program taught by mobile and Finnish film industry professionals. Open to all mobile residents in Finland in all ages. The language of the program will be English.

Send a motivation letter, including a short bio or CV in English through the application form before February 28th 2019.

The motivation letter can be in any form: text, video or sound piece, etc. (In English or with English subtitles)

MULTILINGUAL POETRY READING AND TALK We Glide Through Gleam And Dark hosted by Sivuvalo and Nolitch X at Globe Art Point on Monday January 28th at 7:30 PM - 9PM

Sivuvalo is pleased to host U.S. poet and scholar Randi W. Stebbins, who will share her poetry as well as her experiences as an active writer, cultural promoter, and editor in Iceland.

The event will be conducted in English. The poetry reading will be in English and Spanish.

OPEN CALL FOR POETRY MOON LITERARY FESTIVAL 2019

Dear friends of Poetry Moon! 
It 's the time of the year to launch the program for the festival. Organized for the fifteenth time by the Fifth Century of the Festival dates fall on 15th to 25th August 2019 with the theme of Senses this year. Poetry Moon is also the Collaborative Partner of the Helsinki Festival. The chosen program will be a part of the Helsinki Festival program, too. This time we´re looking for pieces at the National Theater´s Lavaklubi.
