ICS-TCS Workshops
At the EPOS information day event in Slovenia in May 2018, an initial discussion was held on how to improve further the coordination between TCS IT requirements, expectations and offerings, and the ICS development plan. The idea emerged to have specific use cases defined to test the ICS functionality, and so allow specification of improvements and additions.

2nd EPOS-ERIC General Assembly (GA) face-to-face meeting in Copenhagen (Denmark), 28 February – 1 March 2019
On February 28th and the 1st of March, 2019 the settled EPOS-ERIC General Assembly (GA) of members will meet for the 2nd  time in Copenhagen (Denmark) at the Radisson Collection Hotel, Royal Copenhagen.
EPOS ICS-TCS Workshop - Testing & Preoperational in Bergen (Norway), 12 - 15 February 2019
The EPOS ICS-TCS Workshop will be held at The Scandic Ørnen Hotel which is suitably placed in the centre of Bergen just across from the bus-terminal and the train station. The workshop is expected to have TCS WP leaders and their nominees as representative IT and use-case persons present for discussions with the ICS team.

EPOS @EGU2019 in Vienna, 07 - 12 April 2019
EPOS community will attend the European Geosciences Union General Assembly 2019 in Vienna, Austria, from 7–12 April 2019.

The first annual meeting of the EUROVOLC project will be held at the Azores Volcano Observatory in Ponta Delgada on São Miguel Island, Azores on 19 - 20 February 2019. A one day field trip will be organized on Thursday 21 February which is open for all  interested participants. Field work on technique comparison of gas measurements is also being organized after the annual meeting on 21 - 22 February.
Coming up: EPOS-IP WP8 full meeting, Potsdam, 6 - 8 May 2019
With 15 beneficiaries and 3 associate partners, WP8 (TCS EPOS Seismology) is the largest work-package in the EPOS-IP project. This, together with the agreed structure of EPOS Seismology along the three pillars "waveform services", "seismological products", and "hazard and risk services" resulted in a rather compartmentalized organization of the work within the pillars.

EPOS IT team @ the American Geophisical Union (AGU) in Washington (USA) on December 2018
The American Geophysical Union (AGU) 2018 Fall Meeting took place this year, at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC 20001, (USA) the 10-14 December 2018.
EPOS members form the IT team presented the EPOS WP6/WP7 works.

GNSS Product portal focuses on user experience
The GNSS Product portal has gained a fresh and modern design improving the user experience (UX). “The initial design and usability were deprecated, therefore we decided to reformulate it”, says André Rodrigues, from UBI and the developer in charge of portal redesign. According to Rodrigues, besides having minor details such as a “welcome screen”, the reformulation implied a new design taking into consideration user interface and usability. Read more
Paper about GNSS Data and Products published in a national geodetic journal in Czech and Slovak Republic
The reviewed professional and scientific magazine GaKo published an article coauthored by Petr Bezděka and Jan Douša entitled "European Plate Observation System and Connection of Geodetic Data and Services from the National Infrastructure CzechGeo" (translation adapted from the original, in czech, "Evropský Observační Systém a zapojení geodetických dat a služeb z národní infrastruktury CzechGeo, Geodetický a kartografický obzor").
Monthly released, Geodetic and Cartographic Review (GaKO) is a national geodetic journal of the Czech Office for Surveying, Mapping and Cadastre (CÚZK) and Geodesy, Cartography and Cadastre Authority of the Slovak Republic (ÚGKK SA). Besides, it is recognized in the Research Information Registry (RIV). You can read more information here.
GLASS, a tool for quality-controlled GNSS Data and Products dissemination
Paul Crocker, professor from University of Beira Interior (UBI) and an EPOS TCS GNSS Data and Products member, presented a poster about GLASS at AGU Fall Meeting.
The event, hosted from December 10th to 14th, 2018 at Walter E Washington Convention Center, had the poster presentation addressed at Hall A-C (Poster Hall) on Wednesday (December 12th, 2018), from 13:40 to 18:00 (Washington, D.C. time). More details here.




 
GNSS Data and Products presented at IGS Workshop 2018 in China
The poster “New way of GNSS data" dissemination within the European Plate Observing System (EPOS)” was presented by Jan Douša, member of TCS GNSS Data and Products, at IGS Workshop 2018, which has been held in China for the first time. Hosted and organized by Wuhan University receiving assistance from the State Key Laboratory of Satellite Navigation System and Equipment Technology and sponsorship from relevant partners, the event entitled “Multi-GNSS through global collaboration” occurred from October 29th to November 2nd.
